How CastSolid burns out

CastSolid has two burn stages which are necessary for the cleanest burnout. The first phase, at 540F, is the initial combustion of the resin where the majority of material is removed. The second phase is at 1350F, which serves to remove any residual carbon from the original outgassing phase. Please refer to the heat map, as an incorrect heat schedule can expand and may damage your final product. Find a step by step breakdown below:

  • Hold at 300F for 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Ramp up over 30 minutes to 540F.
  • Hold at 540F for 3 hours.
  • Ramp up to 1350F for 1 hour.
  • Hold at 1350F for 4 hours.
  • Ramp down to 1000F  for 2 hours.
  • Hold at 1000F for 1 hour.
